The Medtronic Bakken Research Center B.V. is Medtronic’s major research and innovation hub in Maastricht, the Netherlands, established in 1987. It has grown from a small team to a diverse, international workforce of several hundred experts from more than 35 nationalities, concentrating multiple disciplines – such as technology & innovation, clinical research, global translation & localisation, and regulatory affairs – under one roof to advance medical technology research and development. The centre is recognised for fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration and contributing to important medical device innovations within Medtronic’s global research and development network.
