Prof. Paulus Kirchhof (UKE) is the project coordinator of AF-B-STEP. The project coordinator, working closely with the project leader (Dr. Mirko de Melis, Medtronic), is responsible for the overall scientific progress of the project, the quality of the results, and the timely submission of all required documents and reports to the Innovative Health Initiative Joint Undertaking (IHI JU).
Project Leader
Dr. Mirko de Melis (Medtronic) is the project leader of AF-B-STEP. The project leader, working closely with the project coordinator, is responsible for the overall scientific progress of the project and oversees the scientific governance.
Project Management
Together with the coordinating institution (UKE) and the project leader institution (Medtronic), concentris supports AF-B-STEP as the project management office (PMO). As such, the PMO is the central point of contact for all questions about the project by consortium members. Specifically, concentris maintains the project website, monitors the project’s deadlines and budget, organises consortium meetings, and facilitates periodic reportings to the funding agency (IHI JU).
