About AFNET
AFNET (Atrial Fibrillation Network) – Kompetenznetz Vorhofflimmern e.V. is a German non-profit, interdisciplinary research association based in Münster that brings together scientists and physicians from hospitals and clinics in Germany and abroad to improve understanding, treatment and care of atrial fibrillation and related cardiovascular diseases through coordinated clinical and translational research. Founded in 2003 with support from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, AFNET has evolved into an internationally active academic research organisation that plans and conducts non-commercial, investigator-initiated clinical trials, registries and research projects, often acting as sponsor and partner in multicentre studies to generate evidence that can inform better clinical practice.
